Celebrations erupted as Newworld Endoro emerged victorious in the Odimodi Community Chairmanship Election.
The election saw intense competition among several prominent candidates from Imbeware Quarters of Imbe-Bomuzuwei Ward. Initially, over ten individuals expressed interest in the position, but the field narrowed to five as some candidates withdrew.
The election utilized an open voting system, overseen by the DSS and the immediate past Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Double Chief Combolus Ikisa. Newworld Endoro, affectionately known as Dr. Newworld, secured a decisive win with a significant number of supporters queuing behind him.
According to our Eyewitness, Emmanuel Ingo, the final vote tally revealed that Chief Ebibainkumor Deine received 4 votes, Ezekiel John garnered 5 votes, E.K. Clark Seikorowei obtained 4 votes, Teddy Benikurukuru secured 10 votes, and Newworld Endoro clinched the victory with 136 votes, leading by a substantial margin of 126 votes to his closest rival.
