The statement titled: THIRD PHASE PAP CHAIRMAN OGIDIGBA CONDEMNS PROTESTS AGAINST DR. DENNIS OTUARO, cited the obvious positives in the transformative policy thrust of Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro’s stewardship, in all areas of the programme.

In full, the statement reads:

“I, Gen. Godstime Ogidigba, National Chairman of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP), unequivocally condemn the recent protests against Dr. Dennis Otuaro. These protests, orchestrated by one Jude Gbaboyor, are nothing but a desperate attempt to malign Dr. Otuaro’s good name and undermine his efforts.

“As the duly elected National Chairman of the Third Phase PAP, I want to make it clear that we stand in total support with Dr. Otuaro and reject any form of blackmail or intimidation against his good work so far. We will not be swayed by the malicious actions of one hungry dog who seek to destabilize the peace and progress Otuaro have worked hard to achieve.

“Dr. Dennis Otuaro has positively changed the narrative of the program in a very short period compare to the previous administrators. I described the paid protests made by hungry Jude Gbaboyor as “misguided and dead on arrival.

“As the duly elected national chairman of third phase PAP,i strongly condemned the publication made by one Elaye Slaboh, who paraded himself as the Third Phase Chairman. I described Slaboh’s actions as “desperate attempts to hijack the leadership of the party”. I hereby call on the general public to pay no attention to any impostor and warned against any attempts to undermine the efforts of the Dennis Otuaro administration.

“I call on all members of the Third Phase PAP to remain focused and committed to the programs ideals and urged everyone to disregard any directives or statements emanating from individuals who are not authorized to speak on behalf of the third phase of the PAP.

“The Third Phase PAP, under the leadership of Gen. Ogidigba, has expressed its unwavering support for Dr. Dennis Otuaro and his efforts to serve the people. We have vowed to take all necessary steps to protect the PAP’s image and integrity.

“We condemn any publication suggesting that students of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) are suffering under Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s leadership. The truth is, students are thriving under his administration. He ensures timely payment of stipends and often pays ahead to prevent any disruption to their education.

“Dr. Dennis Otuaro has made a significant impact on the lives of Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) students since taking office. Notably, he has provided laptops to students to facilitate their educational pursuits. Additionally, he ensured timely payment of stipends, demonstrating his commitment to their well-being. Furthermore, he has sponsored students to pursue master’s degrees abroad, opening doors to new opportunities. Dr. Otuaro’s achievements in a short time have surpassed those of previous administrations, showcasing his dedication to the PAP and its beneficiaries.” Dr. Otuaro’s commitment to the welfare of PAP students is evident in the good condition they are living in. We sincerely thank him for his dedication and good work. His leadership has made a positive impact on the lives of our students, and we appreciate his efforts.

“In conclusion, i assured that the Third Phase PAP will continue to support Dr. Otuaro and work towards the development of the niger delta. I urged all well-meaning Nigerians to disregard the protests and any attempts by individuals to destabilize the peace of the program and the Niger delta.

“Signed

Gen. Godstime Ogidigba

Third phase national chairman PAP”

This call is coming on the backdrop of rumours to the effect that some delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme are planning to protest what they describe as the unwillingness for the Presidency to increase their monthly stipends, inspire of countless pleas, given the astronomic cost of living in the country.
