* Pushes for Riverine Infrastructural Revolution In 2026 Budget

By: Divine Perezide

Renowned Delta-born peace, development, and environmental advocate, Chief Comrade Mulade Sheriff, Ph.D, has praised His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State for the infrastructural revolution in the state.

Thus contained in a statement issued by the renowned activist and business tycoon in his office at the Africa4Peace Centre, Ugolo, Okpe Local Government Area, wherein he stated: “It is imperative to state that, the governor has won the heart of Deltans for his developmental strides, irrespective of political affiliation.”

“Let me specifically appreciate the governor once again for using construction giant Julius Berger Plc for the three flyovers situated in Uvwie Local Government Area around Warri axis of the State and the proposed Ughelli and Agbor flyovers to ease traffic flow in those areas”, he added.

“Governor Oborevwori has equally embarked on stormwater drainages and several roads construction projects in the state, which are very impressive demonstration of determine and dedicated governor efforts towards his people.

“However, I wish to strongly appeal to His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to consider and give deep sense of belonging to the riverine communities dominated by Ijaw and Itsekiri to equally enjoy the dividend of infrastructural revolution being embarked upon by his administration.

“It is pertinent to remind the governor that Ijaw and Itsekiri areas contributes over 60 percent of the state economy through oil and gas resources and the blue econom, which make the state the richest in Nigeria and there is no significant projects in this area worthy of note, inspite of their huge contributions to the revenue base of the state, Mulade quipped.

“Let me use this opportunity to sincerely appeal on behalf of the good and peace loving people of Ijaw and Itsekiri ethnic nationalities that the 2026 Delta State budget must give critical consideration to the people by accommodating the Ayakoromo bridge, Torugbene-Ojobo road project, Omadino-Okerenkoko-Kokodiagbene- Escravos Road etc. These areas deserves development beyond just elections and vote-seeking in 2027 and beyond.

“Your Excellency, it is worthy of note that the riverine areas are tired of 1 or 2km concrete walk-ways in their communities regarded as roads rather we need the coastal communities/areas to be connected to the upland for economy viability and growth”, he emphasized.

“It is worthy of note that, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has done very well in terms of stormwater drainages and road projects and same gesture should be extended to the economy sources by deploying Julius Berger to handle such projects for durability, thereby writing his name in gold and sink his identity in the heart of riverine people like His Excellency, Chief James Onanafe Ibori, former governor who boldly achieved Bomadi and Omadino bridges that as linked those areas to upland in the state,” Mulade asserted.

Tantita Security Services: Restoring Environmental Hope to the Niger Delta – Hon. Benard Okoh

By: Divine Perezide

A prominent leader in Ogulagha Kingdom, Hon. Benard Okoh, has commended Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, for not just saving many lives from the immediate dngerous exposure of many Niger Deltans, and suring up Nigerias daily oil production, but for saving the fragile Niger Delta environment from total collapse.

This was commilunicated via a statement issued by Hon. Okoh, the Personal Assistant to the Commissioner representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), a copy of which was forwarded to IduwiniVoice news desk.

Okoh detailed his observations and commendations as follows in the statement:

“I wish to express my profound gratitude to the Chief Executive Officer, the management, and the entire staff of Tantita Security Services for their remarkable work in Restoring hope and improving the environment in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area, and throughout the entire Niger Delta region.

“Before Tantita came on board, we lived in constant fear – not only because of illegal bunkering activities but also due to their attendant devastating impact on our soil, Rivers, and aquatic life. The damage was slow but steady; it crept into our environment and threatened our way of life.

“Unfortunately, the government’s attention often focused solely on counting the litres and barrels of stolen crude oil, without considering how thee illegal activities were destroying our ecosystem and the livelihood of our people. For those of us in the Niger Delta, water is life. Fishing and farming have always been our primary sources of livelihood; however, over the years, oil spills and its associated pollution have nearly wiped them out.

“We had almost lost hope, as many of the security personnel deployed to guard the oil facilities appeared more interested in personal gain than in protecting the environment. They neglected the oil spills that contaminated our rivers and destroyed our ecosystem. Sometimes, they openly discharged seized stolen oil into our water bodies in the line of their duty.

“Today, however, thanks to Tantita Security Services, we are witnessing a remarkable turnaround. Our water bodies are gradually coming back to life – the fishes, shrimps, and other aquatic creatures that had disappeared are returning to our shores. Our mangrove forests are once again wearing their vibrantlooks, and our waterways are cleaner. This is a tremendous achievement, and for this, we are truly grateful.

“Tantita has demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and genuine concern for both its workforce and the communities it serves. The company’s approach reminds us of the efficiency and compassion once shown by major international oil firms that operated in our region. In every sense,Tantita is a world-class security company – one we can proudly call our own.”

Hon. Okoh further explained that: “Across the Niger Delta, everyone can see and feel the difference. The fear that once gripped our people is giving way to hope. Our marine life is returning, and our environment is healing – things we never thought we would see again in our lifetime.

“I particularly commend Tantita for its success in curbing illegal activities around our oil facilities. Its work has not only improved security but also boosted national oil production and revitalised local economies. The positive ripple effects are being felt everywhere – even the Federal Government is benefiting from Tantita’s efforts.

“In the past, vast sums were spent on military operations to protect these same oil facilities, but the results were minimal. Today, with Tantita’s involvement, the difference is clear and measurable. We now have a reliable, responsible, and effective security company working tirelessly for the peace, progress, and prosperity of not just the Niger Delta but Nigeria as a whole.

“I also thank the Federal Government for recognizing Tantita’s capability, entrusting it with this crucial responsibility. The company’s success is evident formally to see, both locally and globally.

“Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the CEO, Managing Director, Directors, and the entire team at Tantita Security Services. You have restored confidence, renewed our environment, and given the people of the Niger Delta a new sense of hope.

“Every right-thinking person from this region can attest that the days of unchecked illegal bunkering are fading away. Since Tantita took charge, we have experienced tremendous relief and genuine progress.

“This achievement deserves to be celebrated. If our nation is truly fair and appreciative, a special day should be set aside to honour Tantita Security Services for its invaluable contributions to the Niger Delta and Ngeria as a whole.” Okoh positted.

IduwiniVoice can report that, Okoh’s state resonates with both local and national sentiments as daily Oil output have since risen from about eight hundred thousand barrels in 2022 just before Tantita Security was awarded the surveillance contract to about one million, eight hundred thousand barrels daily, inching closer to the two million, five hundred thousand barrels daily milestone set by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC).
