Warrri Mourns as Late Evang. Mrs. Rosemary Oromoni was Laid to Rest Amid Tributes and Tears

The ancient Ogbe-Ijoh community, headquarters of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom and the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State stood still on Sat,August 9, 2025, as the remains of Evang. Mrs. Rosemary Sylvester Oromoni, wife of the Executive Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, were committed to mother earth in an atmosphere filled with emotions, tributes, and solemn hymns.
The funeral drew dignitaries from across the Niger Delta and beyond, including politicians, business mogul, clergy, legal icons, and community leaders who came to honour the life and legacy of the late humanitarian and devout Christian.
Mrs. Oromoni, a respected member of God’s Grace Ministry Int’l Church, Warri, was celebrated for her to unwavering faith, community service, and acts of charity. Her body was conveyed in a motorcade from Safe Haven Mortuary, Warri, accompanied by family members and church faithfuls led by the Assistant Bishop of the Worldwide Ministry, Rt. Revd. Evang. Jesutekevwe Samuel Miyeri Jesu, alongside the Mother General, Evang. Mrs. Ogheneyovwire Evelyn MiyeriJesu, and Revd. Evang.AtiabokiJesu Matthew MiyeriJesu.
Arriving at Ogbe-ljoh around 10:30 a.m., the open-air funeral service took on a crusade-like atmosphere. In his sermon, Bishop Jesutekevwe described the late Mrs. Oromoni as “a humble and gentle soul whose positive influence touched both the church and the wider community.” He urged mourners to reflect on the reality of resurrection and judgement, reminding them that “there is no repentance in the grave.” judgement, reminding that “there is no re5in the grave.” He prayed for God’s comfort upon the bereaved family and encouraged her children to preserve her values and godly example.
Following the service, the remains were interred at 1:45 p.m. in accordance with the church with the church’s doctrine. Mrs. Oromoni, aged 57, is survived by her husband, nine children, four grandchildren, and a large extended family.
Her children, in heartfelt tributes, remembered her as “a woman of faith, a motivator, a tireless worker, and a prayer warrior.” Her eldest son, Keyness Orohdje Oromoni, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Oil and Gas, lamented her passing, describing it as “a lass at a time I neded her the most.” Hon. Trust Edumogiren hailed the deceased as a compassionate giver who card for the less privileged without expecting anything in return.
The funeral transitioned into a grand reception in Warri, where friends, associates, and well-wishers gathered to console Hon. Chief Sylvester Oromoni and congratulated the family for a successful burial ceremony. Guests were treated to a variety of delicacies and live music by the renowned Niger Delta Gospel sensational, Dr. Asu Ekiye, whose performance electrified the crowd.

Mrs. Oromoni’s passing marks the end of a life devoted to God, family, and humanity – a legacy her family and community vowed to uphold.

Great Loss As Family Announces The Painful Passing Iduwini-borne Billionaire Prince, Presley Gere Iyalahga

Odimodi, Delta State – The Iyalahga and Diepregha families, Odimodi, Aghoro, and the entire Iduwini Kingdom in Delta and Bayelsa States, breaks silence on the painful loss of their son, Prince Presley Isele Gere Iyalahga, Billionaire businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Preslyn Group of Companies, who passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the age of 48.
Prince Presley was an illustrious son of two distinguished families: His Royal Majesty Gere J. Iyalagha, (Igbedikuru-II), the late Ibenanawei of Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, and the late Regent of Iduwini Kingdom (Delta & Bayelsa States), High Chief Diepregha Akpotelemor of Gberigberi-Idumu Quarters, Aghoro-I Community, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The former President of the Iduwini National Youth Council for Peace and Development was a respected businessman and community leader, who’s untimely demise has thrown his family, friends, associates, community, and Kingdom into deep shock and sorrow. He’s survived by his beloved wife, Princess Preye Presley Iyalagha, and six children.
The families made known the development to newsmen on Saturday, August 16th, in a statement jointly signed by Mr. Oroupade Oweibe and George Diepregha for the families and his son, Prince Peremobowei Presley Iyalagha, for the children.
According to the statement, funeral rites will take place on Friday, August 29th, 2025. At 10 a.m., the body will depart Warri via Millar Jetty to his compound in Odimodi for a brief Funeral Service, lying in state, interment.
IduwiniVoice can report that Prince Presley Iyalagha’s passing marks not only the loss of a vibrant Royal entrepreneur but that of a leader in Iduwini Kingdom and Ijaw nation. His memory remains deeply cherished by the lives he touched and all who knew him.
