Delta Guber: Blackmailing Okowa won’t give Agege Victory March 18 – Okowa’s EAC.

…Says Okowa didn’t buy mansion in Houston Texas, managed Delta Property reasonably well

Executive Assistant on Communications to Delta State Governor, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has assured Deltans that the multifaceted lies and blackmail targeted at the incumbent governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, by agents of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, will end in praise on March 18.

Oghenesivbe in a statement on Sunday, noted that some mischievous politicians in the state are sponsoring blackmail via social media, alleging that Okowa sold some government properties to his associates and son in law, bought a mansion in Houston Texas and sold Asaba International Airport to cronies, pointing out that such naked lies and reckless media propaganda has increased the chances of PDP winning the governorship election on Saturday March 18.

He berated Senator Agege and APC propagandists for masterminding the blackmail against Okowa, adding that the state governor did not procure any house in Houston Texas as mischievously alleged by Delta APC shameless blackmailer.

Oghenesivbe said Okowa administration acted appropriately by partnering with the management of God is Good Motors Ltd, for the effective management of Delta Line Transport Company, well known to be a conduit pipe for the consistent siphoning of government financial resources by unscrupulous government officials. That’s what a responsible government would do and Okowa got it right. The financial leakage was blocked and huge government funds saved for other meaningful projects for the benefit of all Deltans

He said governor Okowa did what was beneficial to all Deltans through the concession of Asaba International Airport, which shall in turn expand airport infrastructure development and increase revenue earnings for the state.

Oghenesivbe, who until his appointment in 2017, served on the board of PPK Aviation International and Aeroflight Cargo Services Ltd, said all over the world Airports are managed by professionals to guarantee air safety, proper maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, saying that Okowa administration acted in the best interest of the state in line with best international practice in the aviation industry.

He said Okowa’s good governance strides in air transportation has restored Asaba International Airport global status and became one of the busiest commercial hubs in Nigeria, noting that the airport was grossly mismanaged and downgraded by Nigeria’s aviation authorities before Okowa assumed office in 2015. Today, Asaba is choice destination for holiday makers and business people.

The Delta PDP Campaign Spokesperson said the orchestrated attacks on Okowa is meant to reduce the popularity and winning chances of PDP governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, perceived to be Okowa’s choice for Governor, noting that rather than reduce Oborevwori chances, the baseless media propaganda and lies against Okowa, has tripled PDP’s stake of winning the governorship election on Saturday March 18, as can be seen from increased endorsements and Oborevwori’s soaring popularity.

“The M.O.R.E agenda seeks to advance Delta beyond 2023 hand over date of Governor Okowa administration. Deltans are in one accord to vote PDP and Oborevwori on Saturday March 18, and it’s sacrosanct.

“APC and Senator Agege are panicking and nervous over the surging popularity and the numerous endorsements of the excessive local content incoming governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. Their fears is therefore foreseeable as the race tend to favour PDP and Oborevwori.

“Majority of eligible voters in Delta State shall vote PDP and Oborevwori on March 18, so as to sustain the ongoing massive development of the three senatorial districts beyond 2023.

“APC and Omo Agege have become false accuser of governor Okowa and his administration. This also shall be exercise in futility. History shall vindicate Okowa, he laboured so hard to give Delta State a face lift. He’s a good man and meant well for Delta and Deltans.

“Thousands of our youth are now self employed through the Yagep, Rysa, Step, Project GEST and other wealth and job creation programmes. Oborevwori will build on these enviable achievements by investing more on human capital development as encapsulated in n his M.O.R.E. agenda.

“Okowa didn’t sell any Delta State property, it’s just the figment of imagination of his political detractors. Their organized blackmail and persistent name calling shall end in praise on March 18, as Deltans vote PDP and Oborevwori for Governor.

“Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s corrupt track record as SSG Delta and DSP is glaring and odious. He’s trying to be smart by using agents of his party to mischievously blackmail Okowa, thinking that it will earn him victory on March 18. No, Deltans already know the antics of Agege and the APC. It will not work. Too late, Agege will not be governor in Delta State.

“Delta is united for PDP and Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. And as the Lord Liveth, PDP will prevail and Oborevwori shall win the governorship election with a wide margin on March 18, to the Glory of God,” Oghenesivbe assured.

FUBARA AND SUPPORTERS CELEBRATE AFTER APEX COURT UPHELD HIS ELECTION VICTORY.

By Tobouke Jemine,

In Rivers State and across the Niger Delta, supporters and well-wishers of the Governor of Rivers State jubilate and congratulate him following the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Independent Electoral Commission’s declaration of Siminalayi Fubara as the winner of the last gubernatorial in Rivers State on Thursday.

Following INEC’s declaration, the All Progressives Congress candidate in the Rivers State governorship election, Tonye Cole, alleged that Fubara did not resign from his previous position as required by law before the election and that the election itself was characterized by irregularities.

Hence, Cole sought the face of the law to ascertain his claims. But when both the tribunal and the Court of Appeal dismissed Cole’s case for lack of merit, Cole appealed to the apex court to sack Siminalayi Fubara as governor of the state.

But reading the lead judgment, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa dismissed Cole’s appeal. Unanimously, the five-man panel on Thursday held that the appellant failed to prove his allegations that there was non-compliance with the Electoral Act during the election.

Following the confirmation of his electoral victory, Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Thursday attended the 4th day of Glory Reign at Salvation Ministry in Port Harcourt, to thank God.The annual church event which began on Monday, January 22, 2024, saw the General Overseer, Pastor David Ibiyomie preach on the theme, “Vengeance for Victory”.

Fubaraubara thanked God and President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly role touching the internal crisis in the party in the State and the litigation against his election.

Fubara also extended his magnanimity and gratitude to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, whom he described as his “Oga” for all his support.

The governor called on everyone to join hands with his administration make Rivers State a truly prosperous and advanced state in all ramifications.
