Seimode Felicitates Delta Assembly Speaker Guwor on Birthday

The Community Relations Manager of Tantita Security Services Limited, Hon. Akpos Seimode, has extended warm birthday felicitations to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

In a goodwill message made available to journalists, Seimode celebrated the Speaker’s contributions to governance and his commitment to service in Delta State.

“Hon. Akpos Seimode, the Community Relations Manager (CRM), Tantita Security Services Limited, extends a birthday felicitation to a brother, RT. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor (Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly) on the occasion of his birth anniversary,” the statement read.

He further praised the Speaker’s dedication to duty, noting, “On this special day, we celebrate your life and dedication and service to our great state.”

Seimode also offered prayers for continued wisdom and leadership, stating, “As you mark another year today, we pray that God gives you the wisdom to steer the affairs of the house.”

The message concluded with goodwill wishes: “Long life, good health, and wisdom to you. Congratulations.”

Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor currently serves as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and is regarded as a key figure in the state’s legislative leadership.

THE IYAKONBOGHA ROYAL FAMILY ANNOUNCE FINAL RITES FOR LATE PRINCE NELSON IN AGHORO TOWN ON APRIL 10

The royal families of Guwode-Idumu of Okun-Aghoro in Iduwini Kingdom, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State; Okoro-ware of Isaba in Isaba Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State; Dunoubodo-Egede of Akugbene in Akugbene Mein Kingdom, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State; as well as Igbana-Idumu of Aghoro I and Avia-Ware of Ogbotobo Town, both in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have formally announced the funeral arrangements for their late patriarch, Prince (Capt.) Nelson Kantele Iyakonbogha.

The revered elder statesman, fondly known by several aliases including Okion, Iyetimiware, Opito, and “9999,” passed on at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of service, family leadership, and community influence across the Niger Delta.

In a statement issued by the families, they invited friends, associates, and well-wishers to attend the series of burial rites scheduled to take place across Delta and Bayelsa States.

According to the programme jointly signed by Comrade Henry Olukpo on behalf of the family and Mr. Sunny Iyakonbogha for the children, activities marking the funeral rites will commence on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with a Service of Songs at 3:00 p.m. at the deceased’s residence located at No. 1 Low Beach, Burutu.

This will be followed on Friday, April 10, 2026, with the body departing Ame Specialist Clinic, Okumagba Avenue, Warri, at 2:00 p.m. in a motorcade procession to Miller Jetty for onward transportation to his hometown, Okun-Aghoro. This will be followed by a social wake-keep at his compound in Aya-Ama, Aghoro I, which will last through the night.

Interment is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. at his residence in Aya-Ama, Aghoro I, while a thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Voice of Faith Christian Church in Burutu.

Music for the ceremonies will be provided by King Allen A. Alabor.

The late Prince Nelson Iyakonbogha is remembered as a respected patriarch whose life spanned decades of dedication to family unity and community development. His passing marks the end of an era for the interconnected royal lineages across Delta and Bayelsa States.

Family Announces Funeral for Late Papa Kiritamarau Robert Desikoro

The families of Ikileware of Odimodi Town and Peregede of Endoro Town, both in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, have announced the passing of their beloved patriarch, Late Papa Kiritamarau Robert Desikoro, who died at the age of 93.

In an obituary statement jointly signed by Timi Kritamarau for the children and Elder J.O. Ikiere for the family, which described the deceased was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle whose life was marked by dedication to God.

“With total submission to the will of Almighty God, the families of Ikileware of Odimodi Town and Peregede of Ndoro Town both in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State announce the passing away of our beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Kiritamarau Robert Desikoro.” He is survived by four children and ten grandchildren.

According to the funeral programme released by the family, activities will commence on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, with a Service of Songs scheduled for 4 p.m. at his residence located at No. 6B Suleya Street, DSC Steel Town 1, Ovwian-Aladja, in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The funeral rites will continue on Friday, March 27, 2026, when the body will depart Ame Mortuary, Avenue Estate, at 8 a.m. for Odimodi Town in Burutu Local Government Area. This will be followed by a lying-in-state at the family compound at 12 noon, interment and entertainment of guests will follow immediately and continue till dawn, as Chief Alex Owei Ebikonbogha supply music.

Centenarian, Mama Ayenuwa Onitsha Iyalagha for Burial, April 3, at Odimodi Town.

The families of Onitsha Iyalagha of Seighabina Quarters and Zeibiri Aluku of Bomuzuwei Quarters in Odimodi Town, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, have announced the burial arrangements for their matriarch, Mrs. Ayenuwa Onitsha Iyalagha (Nee Aluku), who passed on at the age of 100.

According to the funeral announcement jointly signed by Dr. P.E.E. Aluku for the family and Elder Simeon T.O. Iyalagha for the children, the revered centenarian, who was a devoted mother and grandmother, and great-grandmother, “slept in the Lord on the 22nd Nov. 2025.” She is survived by a sister, eight children, 32 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral activities in honour of the late matriarch will begin on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, with a Service of Songs by 4pm at her husband’s compound, Seighabina Quarters, Odimodi Town, Burutu Local Government Area.

Mama’s remains will depart Ame Specialist Hospital’s Mortuary, Okumagba Avenue, Warri, by 8am on Friday, April 3, 2026, for her husband’s compound in Odimodi Town for brief funeral rites, before onward movement to her father’s compound at Bomuzuwei Quarters by 4:30pm, for lying in state and an all-night wake keep, followed by entertainment of guests and in-law greetings, as Prince Abraham Donokoromo, the Numu Pere of Isaba Kingdom supply music through the night.

Interment will follow on Saturday, April 4, 2026, by 8:30am at her father’s compound in Bomuzuwei Quarters.

Activities marking mama Ayenuwa’s transition will conclude on Sunday, April 5, 2026, with an Outing and Thanksgiving Service at Assemblies of God Church, Odimodi Town.
