BURUTU — The Burutu Local Government Traditional Rulers Council on Friday paid a condolence visit to the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Julius Takeme, PhD, JP, following the passing of his mother.

The royal fathers visited the council chairman at his residence in Okotokoto, expressing sympathy and solidarity with him and members of his family during the moment of grief.

Leading the delegation was the Chairman of the Burutu LGA Traditional Rulers Council, His Majesty Bosu Dio, JP, the Ebenanawei of Iduwini Kingdom, who urged the council chairman and his family to remain strong in the face of the loss.

The monarch described death as an inevitable part of human existence, noting that every individual must one day come to terms with it. He encouraged the bereaved family to take solace in God and the good life lived by the deceased.

Also speaking during the visit, His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt.) King Joseph Timiyan, JP, PhD, Agbonu I, the Ebenanawei of Ogulagha Kingdom and Chairman of the Council of Ijaw Traditional Rulers, consoled the chairman and described the loss as painful but unavoidable.

According to him, death remains a natural passage that every human being must ultimately accept, urging the council chairman to remain steadfast and draw strength from God during the difficult period.

Responding, Hon. Takeme expressed profound appreciation to the royal fathers for their visit, describing their presence as a great honour despite their busy schedules.

He recounted the circumstances surrounding his mother’s passing, explaining that the family made concerted efforts to provide her with adequate medical care but that God ultimately decided to call her home.

The council chairman noted that the loss was particularly painful given the sacrifices his mother made for the family and the exemplary life she lived.
