Chief Aubeze Mourns with Burutu Council Chairman Over Mother’s Passing

A former Leader of the Burutu Legislative House, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Joseph A. Aubeze, has expressed deep sympathy to the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, High Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme (PhD.), JP, following the passing of his mother, Mama Alice Takeme, whose sad event occured few days ago.

In a condolence message made available to the IduwiniVoice News Desk, the former leader of Burutu Legislative House described the development as a painful loss, while urging the council chairman and members of his family to remain strong in the face of the difficult moment.

Aubeze acknowledged that the death of a mother is always deeply emotional, noting that while Mama’s passing may have come at a time when her loved ones still desired more years with her, it remains one of life’s realities that must be accepted with faith and courage.

Expressing solidarity with the council chairman, Aubeze assured him of his support during the period of mourning and prayed that God would grant the family the strength to bear the loss.

In his message, he wrote:

“SINCERE CONDOLENCES

“Dear, High Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme (PhD.), (JP),

“The news of the passing of your beloved mother at her prime. Mama deserved to live to a full old age and enjoy the fruits of her labour, but we cannot query God.

“Please, take heart and be assured that I am standing very solidly beside you in these trying times.

“May God grant you and the entire family the fortitude to weather through this situation.

“Okasu! The Olotu! Please, take heart, my chairman.

Aubeze further prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and comfort for the bereaved family as they navigate the difficult period of grief.

Rt. Hon. Chief Aubeze Congratulates Amgbaduba on Emergence as Delta South APC Chairman

A former Leader of the Burutu Legislative House, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Joseph A. Aubeze, has extended warm congratulations to Chief Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba following his successful election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Delta South Senatorial District.

In a congratulatory message made available to IduwiniVoice news desk, Aubeze commended Amgbaduba for his longstanding commitment to grassroots mobilisation and his contributions to the political development of the district.

The former Leader of Burutu Legislative House described the APC chieftain as a consistent political figure whose dedication to party organisation and community engagement has earned him widespread respect across Delta South.

Aubeze expressed confidence that the new chairman would deploy his wealth of experience to strengthen the party and promote political inclusion in the district.

In the statement, he said:

IYC Western Zone Information Officer to Lead Digital Skills Bootcamp for Ijaw Youths

The Information Officer of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Western Zone,  Comrade Tare Magbei, has announced plans to organise a two-day digital capacity-building programme targeted at young people across the zone.

The training, titled Media Management, Content Creation and AI Prompting Bootcamp, is scheduled to take place from February 13 to 14, 2026, and is aimed at building practical skills in media, digital communication and emerging technologies for Ijaw youths.

According to the organisers, the bootcamp will focus on strengthening young people’s ability to engage in advocacy, storytelling and community mobilisation through modern media tools.

About 50 participants are expected to benefit from the hands-on sessions, which will also introduce them to viable income-generating opportunities within the media and creative industries.

Beneficiaries will be selected from among Information Officers of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in the Western Zone, alongside youths drawn from the 24 clans that constitute the zone.

The initiative, being driven by Comrade Magbei, is described as a strategic effort to enhance youth capacity, promote digital relevance and encourage the effective use of technology in today’s rapidly evolving media environment. It is also seen as a timely intervention to improve employability and strengthen advocacy among Ijaw youths across the Western Zone.
