PANDEF Honours Edwin Clark One Year After, Says “Your Presence Is Still Mighty”

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has paid glowing tribute to elder statesman, Sen. Chief Dr. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, marking one year since his passing, describing his legacy as enduring and impactful.

In a statement issued on February 17, 2026, PANDEF National Chairman, Ambassador Dr. Godknows Igali, said, “Today, we specially remember with fondest memories our father, leader, national icon and statesman, Chief EK Clark.” He noted that “one year its like just yesterday” since the revered nationalist departed at the age of 98.

PANDEF recalled Clark’s final patriotic declaration, quoting him as saying, “I am a Nigeria, I love Nigeria,” emphasizing his lifelong devotion to truth, justice, fairness, and national harmony.

The forum praised his tireless advocacy for the Niger Delta and the South-South, stating that “your toil for the unity, solidarity, national relevance of the Niger Delta… will for endless generations be celebrated and adulated.”

Describing him as courageous and resolute, PANDEF added, “Like a lion, your courage was unmatched and resonated large and wide,” affirming that his ideals and vision remain alive.

A special memorial service was held in his honour at Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, where PANDEF urged him to “rest on dear daddy, ‘Gogorogo’,” while reaffirming commitment to sustaining his legacy.

Tantita Reaffirms Nation-Building Commitment with Support for Kids Football League

ABUJA — Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has restated its dedication to national development through its sponsorship of the Joseniho Kids Football League Abuja 2026, a grassroots initiative aimed at nurturing young football talents and promoting unity.

Speaking at the opening ceremony held at Ace Turf, Gwarimpa, the company’s Community Relations Manager, Dcn Akposafagha Benedict Seimode, said the organisation remains committed to programmes that foster peace and youth empowerment. He noted that “Tantita is keenly interested in nation-building and development,” adding that football serves as a powerful tool for unity and social cohesion.

The five-month tournament features participants across U-7 to U-15 categories, attracting families from across the Federal Capital Territory.

Lead organiser, Dr. Victor Isereke, commended Tantita’s support, describing the firm as “a strong force in community and human capital development,” despite operating primarily in the Niger Delta region.

Ijaw Publishers’ Forum Sets Inauguration of New Leadership on February 26

The appex organisation of Publishers from Ijaw extraction, Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF), has announced February 26, 2026 as the D-day for the inauguration of her second National Executive Council in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri, Delta State. The event which would take place in Chief Tunde’s playground at Police Barracks junction, Bulouama town, Ogbe-Ijoh, by NPA old port, Warri is billed to host prominent Ijaw leaders, stakeholders, media experts, and the general public, to witness the successful transition process.

In a statement issued by the outgoing Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr. Daniel Ayemofaye, CEO of Ogulagha Vanguard, the Forum was established two years a go to give voice to the Ijaw side of the story and that of the Niger Delta region. IPF has since embarked on this mission rendering free press and journalists’ rights to advance the truth always. The forum whose focus areas include resource control, self-determination and accurate and balanced storytelling about the cause of the Ijaw people have lend their voice to everythingthat is important yet pertinent the Ijaw nation.

The new leadership whose composition retaina almost all members of that whose tenure is to come to a close, has declared that “it is poised to take the organization to the next level, building on the efforts of its achievements in the next two years.”

Niger Deltans and indeed the world hinges closer by the day, towards witnessing another epoch making event as February 26 draws closer.

INC Delegation Visits London Court in Solidarity with Diezani Alison-Madueke

The President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) Worldwide, Prof. Benjamin Okaba, has led a delegation to London in solidarity with former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, during a recent court session in early February.

Addressing observers and members of the global community, Prof. Okaba emphasized the INC’s support, declaring, “Deziani is our daughter. We are here to show that she’s not alone. We will continue to stand firmly by her in these trying times, too.”

He further underscored the prolonged nature of the legal proceedings, stating, “This is over ten years for one case. We are here to show the global community that Deziani did not fall from the sky. She is from a family, she is from a nation.”
