Effurun, Delta State – The city of Warri is gearing up for what many describe as a marriage of the season, as the families of Mr. Julius Ilajawei of Ogulagha Town and Elder Newworld Isaac Dubasuode-Adogun of Kiagbodo Town, both in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, have announced the forthcoming Traditional Marriage and Solemnization of Holy Matrimony of their beloved children, Princess Julius Ilajawei and Seleke-owei Reuben Dubasuode, IYC Chaiman, Ngbilebiri-Mein Clan and Legislative Aide to the Hon. Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo, member representing Burutu Constituency-1, in the Delta State House of Assembly.

According to the official invitation, the Traditional Marriage Ceremony is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, at Mr. Julius Ilajawei’s compound in Ogulagha. This is expected to attract family members, friends, community leaders, and dignitaries from within and outside the Niger Delta.

However, the solemnization of how matrimony will follow on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Life Gate Ministries, Worldwide, Km 1, Effurun-Sapele Road, beside Tonimas Filling State, Effurun, Delta State.

A grand reception will follow at Ishaka Hotel, Refinery Road, Effurun, by 12 noon. Distivuisdx personalities have been listed as part of the RSVP team, including Hon. Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo, Hon. Dcn. Akpos Seimode, Cmr. Emmanuel Gesikeme Akpule, Comr. Louis Kebbi Ogori, Mrs. Blessing Smooth-Akasa, and Ms. Ebiere Keyagha.

Issues open message of appreciation to all who stood by the family

In a heartfelt public statement, Chief Evans E. Etimigba, JP, (FICMC), has extended profound appreciation on behalf of the Etimigba Family to all individuals, friends, traditional rulers, and communities who supported them before and during the burial of their beloved matriarch, Late Chief (Mrs.) Agnes Leileitugha Etimigba, (nee Bibaikefie).

In an open message titled “Message of Appreciation,” Chief Etimigba wrote:

“On behalf of the Etimigba Family I, Chief Evans Etimigba, wish to express our deepest and most heartfelt appreciation to all who stood by us during the burial of our beloved mother, Late Chief (Mrs.) Agnes Leileitugha Etimigba.

Your overwhelming show of love, presence, prayers, and financial support brought comfort to our hearts and strength to our spirits during this moment of grief. We remain profoundly grateful for every gesture of kindness and honour shown to our family.”

Chief Etimigba, who also holds the title of Justice of the Peace (JP), expressed particular appreciation to a wide array of dignitaries, political leaders, traditional rulers, and community figures for their role in comforting and standing by the family during the mourning period.

He continued:

FAMILY GREETS IJAW NATION AS BODY OF LATE CHIEF STANLEY ITURESUODE YANGABOY LAID TO REST IN ODIMODI AMIDST TEARS AND TRIBUTES

The Yangaboy Angalabiri family of Odimodi town in Iduwini Kingdom and Dr. Ase Asikor family of Okerenkoko town in Gbaramatu Kingdom appreciates Ijaw nation, Deltans, and all well-wishers over their tremendous support before, and during the burial ceremony of their grandfather, father, uncle, brother, and son, Late Chief Stanley Ituresuode Yangaboy, (Alagbabrakolokolo of Grand Iduwini Kingdom).

Chief Yangaboy, who passed at the age of 57, was celebrated for his community service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of not only Iduwini and Ijaw, but all Niger Deltans. His funeral rites began with a Service of Songs held on Monday, October 27th, 2025, at his residence, by Deeper Christian Life Church, Chinkely Road, Ekpan, where relatives, colleagues, and friends gathered for a solemn Worship.

The final Burial Ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, at his family compound, Ifikorowei Quarters of Odimodi town, where tributes poured in from far and near. Attendees described Chief Yangaboy as humble, generous, and visionary leader whose legacy will continue to inspire younger generations in the Grand Iduwini Kingdom and beyond.

In an official statement issued after the burial, the Yangaboy and Asikor Families, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all who supported the family during their time of grief and need.

“We sincerely express our deep gratitude to everyone who stood by us before, during, and after the burial ceremony of our beloved father and son, Chief Stanley Ituresuode Yangaboy,” the statement read in part. “Your words of comfort, financial support, visits, and participation made the entire funeral a successful and a worthy farewell for our dear father.”

The family also extended special thanks to the Ifikorowei Quarters of Odimodi town, for their unity and hospitality throughout the burial period, as well as to the Okerenkoko people, friends, and associates for their solidarity and prayers.

Concluding, the Yangaboy Family prayed that the Almighty God would bless and reward everyone abundantly, adding that Chief Stanley Yangaboy’s legacy of love, humility, and service to humanity would forever remain in their hearts.
