Prophet Jeremiah Prophet, the founding prophet and General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, grieves as his 104 year old mother passes away. Mama Asetu Fufeyin, who died at the remarkable age of 104, lived a fulfiled life, IduwiniVoice canreport. The renowned Nigerian prophet shared the news on Saturday via his Facebook account, revealing the death of his mother on may 9.
In a deeply emotional message, Prophet Fufeyin paid tribute to his late but beloved mother, expressing his profound sense of loss:
“We sadly announce the passing of our beloved Mama Asetu on May 9th, 2025. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor her legacy—details to follow. Forever in our hearts. Rest in eternal peace, Mama.”
Mama Asetu lived a long, meaningful life, and was dearly loved by her family and all who knew her. A “Celebration of Life” will be held in her honour, with additional details to be shared by the family soon.
She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, deep devotion, and the powerful spiritual legacy she leaves through her son, a leading prophetic voice in Nigeria and beyond.

Bishop Oyedepo has announced that 32 transformers will be used to power the Ark when it comes on stream after it’s November dedication. According to him, during the second service yesterday, 4th May 2025 at the Faith Tabernacle, this will be required because of the large power requirement at the new building. The Ark will have 129 elevators, travelators and escalators which will move worshippers including elderly people and in other cases, challenged folks who require healing up and down the 4 floor, 109,000 capacity bowl as well as the 5,000 capacity youth church and 20,000 seat children’s church. Additionally, the staff will operate between the 12 twin tower mission headquarters and use of the staircase may not always be practicable.
Canaanland already had a 15MW Power plant installed in 2016 but this will be inadequate for power needs of the Ark. The Dome will also draw 1MW of solar energy to the facility while the roof is designed to gather rain 🌧 water to aid in flushing the 1,200 restrooms by gravity.
The transformers located at the new power plant required to power plant is much bigger than the present plant.
It is believed to be already under construction and would be finished in time for the dedication of the Ark.
The new Megawatt power plant reported to be 80MW will help to supply electricity to the whole of Canaanland including The Ark, Covenant University, Canaan City and possibly some parts of Ota.
According to Bishop Oyedepo, Canaanland has never experienced a complete electricity blackout since 1999 contrary to the norm in Nigeria.

In a stunning political development that has sent shockwaves across Nigeria’s political landscape, Delta state Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, his godfather, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and the entire Delta state Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have officially defected to All Progressive Congress (APC).
The announcement was made late Wednesday evening at the Government House in Asaba, following a closed door meeting that lasted over six hours. Senator James Manager, a long serving PDP stalwart and a key figure in the state’s politics,broke the news to journalists, describing the mass as a collective and unanimous decision.
“All PDP members in the state, including the governor,former Governor Okowa,the speaker,the state party chairman,all local government chairmen,and others,have agreed to move to the APC,”Manager declared. “We cannot continue to be in a sinking boat.” “The drum beats are changing in the political space of the country, we must also change our dance steps accordingly” Charles Aniagwu, the state Commissioner for Information added.
The move marks a major realignment in Delta State’s political terrain and could significantly reshape party dynamics ahead of the next electoral cycle. While no official reasons were provided beyond the metaphor of a “sinking boat” and “changing drumbeats”, insiders suggest deep dissatisfaction with the PDP’s national structure and internal division may have influenced the decision.
The duo also went on to announce that the Vice President Kasim Shetima will be in Asaba on Monday to receive the defected PDP members.
Of more importance is the place of APC bigwigs like the former Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Festus Keyamo, etc. 2027 Governorship ambitions. Pundits have also speculated that rather than the APC taking over the PDP, it is the PDP that would likely uproot subsisting stallwarts of the APC, given the party’s deep taproots in the state.
As the news continues to unfold,political analyst are watching closely for reactions from the national leadership of both parties,as well as the implications this could have on upcoming elections in the South-south region.
