Tantita Security, Tompolo, and Pondi Praised for Humanitarian Efforts in Niger Delta

Warri – The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF), a pan-Ijaw media organization, has lauded Tantita Security Services Ltd., High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and High Chief Engr. Keston Pondi FNSE for their continued acts of compassion and social responsibility.
This recognition comes in the wake of a notable humanitarian effort by Tantita Security Services, under the leadership of High Chief Keston Pondi FNSE, which covered the full cost of a kidney transplant for Barrister Etifa Jonathan. The sum of ₦30 million, which included additional medical expenses, was donated to ensure the lawyer received critical treatment at Nisa Garki Hospital in Abuja.
Barr. Jonathan had recently made an emotional appeal for financial assistance through a widely shared video. Tantita Security Services, renowned as a top employer of labour across Nigeria’s diverse communities, responded swiftly to the call, earning widespread admiration for their generosity.
Last Friday, news of the company’s intervention brought immense relief to the barrister, his family, and the public. This initiative reflects Tantita’s commitment not only to safeguarding national assets but also to supporting individuals in dire need.
Speaking to journalists in Warri, IPF President Comrade Austin Ozobo praised Tantita Security Services for their consistent humanitarian work. He highlighted past initiatives, including the construction of homes for the homeless, housing units for the Nigerian Army, and the recent donation of 50 brand-new laptops to beneficiaries across Nigeria.
The IPF extended heartfelt appreciation to Tompolo, the CEO of Tantita, and High Chief Pondi for their leadership in fostering these impactful efforts. They also urged Nigerians to pray for Barr. Jonathan’s successful surgery and recovery, as well as for continued blessings on Tantita Security Services and its leaders.
“Tantita exemplifies a people-focused organization. Whether constructing roads or housing for security personnel, empowering youths, or responding to health emergencies, their actions have touched countless lives,” said President Ozobo said.
Bibaikefie also praised Tantita’s efforts in restoring the Niger Delta waterways, previously plagued by oil pollution due to pipeline vandalism and equipment failures. The company’s proactive security measures have reportedly boosted Nigeria’s daily oil production to an impressive 1.8 million barrels.
“This selfless act of kindness has given Barrister Etifa Jonathan renewed hope and emphasizes the importance of standing by those in critical need,” Ozobo concluded, calling on Nigerians to continue supporting Tantita’s humanitarian and security efforts through prayers and goodwill.

Former leader of Burutu Legislative House, Rt. Hon. Joseph Alubeze, has expressed heartfelt birthday felicitations to the his former boss and leader, Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabozor Pondi, Member Representing Burutu Federal Constituency and the Chairman, House Committee on the South-South Development Commission.
In his congratulatory message, Alubeze described Pondi as an astute leader whose antecedent smarcks of nothing but people-oriented service and dedication that continue to inspire many within and beyond the Constituency.

Good News: Presidential Amnesty Office Commences Second Phase of Laptop Distribution to Scholarship Delegates

Abuja – The Otuaro-led Presidential Amnesty Office, popularly known as PAP, has commenced the second phase of laptop distribution to its scholarship beneficiaries across Nigerian Universities for the 2024/2025 academic year.

According to a statement signed by Mr. Igoniko Oduma, Special Assistant on Media to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, the initiative is part of efforts to enhance learning and research amongst students under the programme.

The exercise, which began following the directive of the Administrator, Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, makes a continuation of the first phase carried out between April and May 2025, during which over 663 final-year scholarship beneficiaries received laptops.

Dr Otuaro explained that the decision to promoting academic excellence and research productivity. He noted that the gesture also fulfills a promise he made to students during his tour of partner Universities in 2024.

“The laptops are intended to aid the beneficiaries in their studies and research activities” Otuaro state, urging the students to use the devices responsibility and to justify the Federal Governmtent’s modest investment in their education.

He also advised the beneficiaries to remain focus on their academic pursuit and avoid behaviours that could undermine their future prospects.
Reaffirming his administration’s objectives, Dr. Otuaro said the PAP will continue to achieve academic succes, contributing to the socio-economic advancement of the Niger Delta region.
He expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his consistent support for the programme, describing it as a demonstration of commitment to bridging the human capital development gaping the region.
Dr. Otuaro further urged the youths and people of the region to reciprocate the President’s gesture by supporting his administration’s policies and programmes.
He reaffirmed the PAP’s dedication to consolidating on its achievements in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.
