Delta LG Polls:Hon. Seimode Joins Burutu Chairmanship Race
As the days for the forthcoming council elections in Delta State draw near, more people have joined the race, especially in Burutu Local Government Area of the state.
On Monday, Hon. Benedict Akposafagha Seimode formally declared his interest to contest for the chairmanship position Burutu Council Area, Delta State.
Hon. Seimode, with members of his campaign team and enthusiastic supporters, declared his intention to vie for the number one seat of Burutu LGA before the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Burutu.
Sam Ikporukpo, who spoke on behalf of Hon. Seimode team, presented Hon.Seimode as a democrat and technocrat who surpasses every other aspirants in ability to deliver.
Ikporukpo said,”There are several other aspirants vying for this office from the same Ward 11, but I present you the best amongst all by a mile in Seimode.”
In his speech, Hon. Seimode promised that, if elected, his administration would meet the infrastructure, peace, agriculture, and security needs of the people of Burutu LGA. He further said that,“Today is not a day of many words, but I assure you that the the right expertise and knowledge to transform our dear Council is embedded in me,”he further said, “Judging from our bountiful resources, Burutu deserves more than it has right now, and more is what I guarantee you when I come into power. “
Responding to the Burutu LGA hopeful, the Burutu PDP Youth Leader, Hon Peremobowei Amakama, recognized that uprightness and trustworthiness are parts of the qualities that mark Hon. Seimode out among his peers.
The Chairman of Burutu PDP, Lawson Ogei, in his remarks lauded Hon. Seimode for his relentless commitment towards the progress of the party over the years. “I have absolute confidence that you have nothing but good inentions for Burutu people. It is my our prayer that what you seek, you shall find, “Ogei maintained.
The Delta 2024 local government polls are billed for July 13 following an announcement by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC.

Hon. Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme (JP), the Chairmanship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Burutu Local Government Council Election, has successfully concluded his 4-day Ward-to-Ward campaign across the 20 Wards of the local government council.
The campaign ship of Chief Takeme and his Councilorship candidates moored at its final harbour in the course of the weekend at Ogbolubiri Ward 9; a successful campaign he dedicated to God, while urging the electorates to come out in their numbers to vote for the PDP come July 13,2024
In the words of Hon. Takeme: “for the past four days, we have been campaigning from one Ward to the other. We went through the 20 Wards in the Local Government. We started from Ogulagha/Iduwini and went through all the wards.
“We want to start by thanking God Almighty because it is only God that can make it possible. It is only him that saw us through, as we drove through all the 20 wards.
“We traveled thousands of kilometers, sometimes in very difficult terrains and not one incident recorded; not one accident. In fact, we give thanks to Almighty God.
“First, let me start with the Chairman of our Campaign Council, Hon. Pullah Ekpotuayerin DG; Deputy Campaign, Secretary Campaign Council and other members of the Campaign Council for their wonderful and overwhelming coordination. Indeed we are deeply grateful for the continued support. May God bless you all”.
Dr Takeme went on to express his appreciation to stakeholders, party faithfuls, and supporters for their unwavering support and commitment to his vision, assuring them that he will not disappoint them if elected.
