GODSPENALISM: THE HOPE OF A BETTER BURUTU LGA.

“Our mission is to reach out to more youths in the region, we don’t just enroll them and send them to acquire different vocational skills; firstly, we orient them on the need to see peace as a panacea for the development we crave for, we have to be peaceful so that the government will no longer have excuse not to develop us” –Dr GODSPOWER TOMONE (qouted in GbaramatuVoice,2016)
When we see youths in our communities using lethal instrument to attain their dreams, doing ‘Yahoo’ to be socially and financially relevant, getting involved in nefarious deals, applying every means to make money and statement, we are quick to give them negative labels — no care and attention is paid to the reasons behind their actions, and no consistent and genuine stride is made to salvage the situation.
But there is a man who cares. He asked questions, studied, pondered and found out that few youths whose hands are equiped with skills, whose brains are well-schooled, whose minds are well-mentored, whose certificates are valued by the society will be enticed to get involved in life-endangering, amoral and unlawful activities or businesses.
He saw frustrating circumstances, idleness, joblessness, lack of employable and self-employable skills as part of the reasons violence, restiveness, armed robbery, cybercrime and other social maladies are prevalent in our society. He discovered that a trillion words of condemnation won’t change this situation — he found out that practical measures are needed to address the problem.
Hence, he founded the non-government organization named One Love Community Development and Promotion of Peace Initiative (OLCDPPI) as a starting point to give hope to the hopeless, job to the jobless, office to certificates, money to businesses, and skill to the unskilled – a humaneness and generosity that he has been extending to all, young and old, men and women to enable them live a life of dignity and productivity across BURUTU LGA and beyond.
And for more than half a decade now, DR. GODSPOWER TOMONE has been single-handedly training and empowering hundreds of youths, women and men in fields such as welding, scaffolding, diving, driving, fashion design, 3D custom floors/wall/ceiling, Aluminium production and fitting, hairdressing, and fabric making.
From his bowels of philanthropy youths across his constituency and beyond have emerged as machine operators — and we are talking about Excavator, crane, pay loaders, Backhoe Loaders, Bulldozers, Skid Steer Loaders, Motor Graders, Trenchers, etc.
Such a man should be given the opportunity and position to do more for humanity.
BURUTU LGA SHALL BE GREAT WITH TOMONE AT THE HELMS OF AFFAIRS.
On the Divine Mandate of Chief GODSPOWER TOMONE we should stand.

Hon. Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme (JP), the Chairmanship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Burutu Local Government Council Election, has successfully concluded his 4-day Ward-to-Ward campaign across the 20 Wards of the local government council.
The campaign ship of Chief Takeme and his Councilorship candidates moored at its final harbour in the course of the weekend at Ogbolubiri Ward 9; a successful campaign he dedicated to God, while urging the electorates to come out in their numbers to vote for the PDP come July 13,2024
In the words of Hon. Takeme: “for the past four days, we have been campaigning from one Ward to the other. We went through the 20 Wards in the Local Government. We started from Ogulagha/Iduwini and went through all the wards.
“We want to start by thanking God Almighty because it is only God that can make it possible. It is only him that saw us through, as we drove through all the 20 wards.
“We traveled thousands of kilometers, sometimes in very difficult terrains and not one incident recorded; not one accident. In fact, we give thanks to Almighty God.
“First, let me start with the Chairman of our Campaign Council, Hon. Pullah Ekpotuayerin DG; Deputy Campaign, Secretary Campaign Council and other members of the Campaign Council for their wonderful and overwhelming coordination. Indeed we are deeply grateful for the continued support. May God bless you all”.
Dr Takeme went on to express his appreciation to stakeholders, party faithfuls, and supporters for their unwavering support and commitment to his vision, assuring them that he will not disappoint them if elected.
