Odimodi: The air in Odimodi town was filled with both surprise and jubilation as news of Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro’s appointment as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) reverberated through the community. Among the celebratory voices was Prince (Dr.) Peretengboro Klintin Bibaikefie, a prominent advocate for Niger Delta Developmental and Good Governance, who shared a unique encounter with Dr. Otuaro (PhD.) moments before the official announcement.
In a candid revelation, Prince Peretengboro recounted his spontaneous gesture of congratulating Dr. Otuaro without prior knowledge of the impending news. Speaking amidst the bustling ambience of the town, he recollected, “I felt the internal push to say Congratulations to Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro (PhD.), while greeting an entourage…”. Little did he know, the congratulatory note was an inadvertent prelude to the significant revelation that was about to unfold.
As Odimodi Community entertained an entourage of prominent figures like Rt. Hon. Momotimi Dennis Guwor, the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, MD of Fenog Nig. Ltd, amongst others, Prince Bibaikefie’s gesture sparked curiosity from Dr. Otuaro himself. “Congratulations for what?” Dr. Otuaro inquired, to which Prince Bibaikefie replied with a vague yet hopeful sentiment, “we dey hear the big and good things wey you dey do.”
Moments later, amidst the murmurs and anticipatory whispers, a loud announcement echoed through the gathering—a phone call had confirmed Dr. Otuaro’s appointment as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP). In a rallying call to action, Prince Bibaikefie urged Dr. Otuaro to maintain an open-door policy and implored all stakeholders to extend total support. With fervent conviction, he asserted, “we can create a Silicon Valley out of this programme in the Niger Delta, if we are serious” underscoring the immense potential for impactful change under Dr. Otuaro’s stewardship.

Okpoye, has congratulated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on the conferment of an honorary Doctorate Degree by Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo.
