The Campaign Organization of Hon. Berry Negerese has lampooned and rubbished self-styled Bayelsa West PDP Conscience Group, describing them as faceless and inconsequential.

In a statement signed and made available to IduwiniVoice Newspaper, the Director General of Berry Negerese Campaign Organization, Mr. Japan Udoji, the team chronicled the record breaking political achievements of their principal. See full statement below;

“We issue this statement with a burden to put the record straight in respect of a publication widely circulated across the Social Media space against our principal, Hon. Berry Negerese, by a faceless group call Bayelsa West PDP Conscience Group with their paid desperate Chairmanship Aspirants which is being coordinated by Chief Enebraye Thompson, tagged “You Can’t Reap From Where You Did Not Sow”.

“We would have ordinarily ignored such an inconsequential and faceless group but for the purpose of the public, we have decided to state the following:

1. Hon. Berry Negerese is a Party Faithful, he aspired for the State House of Assembly in 2015 but was asked to step down for his brother and friend, the incumbent member representing Ekeremor Constituency-3. It is on record that Hon. Negerese still supported the party and the candidate with the huge sum of money on the day he stepped down for a seamless process.Negerese also donated posters, banners, and other campaign materials. Chief Thompson and his pay masters should also be schooled that, more than cash and materials, Hon. Berry also headed the Campaign Team as Director General and ensured all round victory for PDP in Ekeremor Constituency 3 in 2015.
From 2015 till date he has been the campaign Director General of the party that has returned, Rt Hon Mike Ogbere successfully on all Elections that has made him a third term member of the Bayelsa state house of Assembly and other elective office holders in the senatorial District and beyond.

2. Hon. Berry Negerese also served the party as Auditor in the Bayelsa West Senatorial District from 2012 to 2015.

3. Our principal, Negerese led the Campaign Team as Director General again in 2019. Won all elections, including the Senate.

4. Yes, Hon. Berry Negerese left the PDP because of perceived injustice in October 2019, like many other party faithfuls did.

5. Due to the good works of His Excellency, the Miracle Governor, Sen Douyi Diri who asseediously developed the state, took care of grey areas, and worked hard to reunite the party, Hon. Berry returned without any doubts, when he was called upon to.

6. Permit us to clear the air that there was no time our principal was disqualified from running for Ekeremor Constituency-3 House of Assembly position. As an honorable gentleman, Hon. Negerese stepped down in the face of fierce and malicious blackmail and paid propaganda in the 2023 Assembly elections.

7. Chief Enebraye Thompson and his co-travellers may need a memory reset to remember that Hon. Berry Negerese was again, the Campaign Team D.G. in 2023 and delivered all positions to the PDP. He was also the 2023 Governorship Elections Ward Co-ordinator, delivered his pooling unit with PDP scoring 157 while Apc 0 votes in the November 2023 gubernatorial elections in the state. An election we effortlessly won in Ekeremor owing largely to Berry’s pedigree. It is also on record that hon. Berry spent massively during the November Governorship Elections. Is this the same election this faceless group is maliciously claiming that our esteemed principal, Hon. Berry Negerese never sowed and so cannot reap.

“In closing, we will advice those who are chickened by the fact that Hon. Negerese has thrown his Hat in the ring for the Ekeremor Local Government Council Chairmanship race, to simply withdraw, join/support the most credible aspirant, Hon. Berry Negerese to win the election Ekeremor well in line with the wishes and aspirations of Ekeremor people and the Prosperity Agenda of His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri.” Japan concluded.

Re: Ekelga Leaders Receive Berry Negerese Campaign Team for Consultative Visit.

Our attention has been drawn to a previous report bearing the above referred heading wherein emphasis was made to discountenance certain erroneous statements as follows;

“Present at the meeting included Hon. Dein Benadoumene, Dr. Andrew Feyaikebena Ebakpa, Perewarebo Akpos Esemokumo Ph.D., and Donald Daunemugha, to formally discuss Hon. Negerese’s aspiration to lead Ekelga’s development as Local Government Chairman.”

For the avoidance of doubt, NO SUCH MEETINGS WERE HELD and NO ENDORSEMENTS WERE ISSUED.

However, the esteemed leaders were visited “INDIVIDUALLY” to solicit for their prayers.

The errors in the said publication were never the act of the Hon. Berry Negerese Campaign Organization but purely unintended publishing errors.

Emerging reports indicates that the Berry Negerese Campaign Organization has embarked on concerted visitations key leaders across Ekeremor Local Government Area, to solicit their fatherly prayers.

Prominent Ekeremor Local Government Area leaders visited so far include Hon. Dein Benadoumene (Chairman, Bayelsa State House of Assembly Service Commission and acting PDP Caucus leader, Ekeremor LGA), Dr. Andrew Feyaikebena Ebakpa (Elder statesman), Perewarebo Akpos Esemokumo Ph.D. (Chairman, PDP Ekeremor LGA), and Donald Daunemugha (Ekelga stakeholder), at their respective residences.

As the visitation train continues from house to house, the Campaign Spokesperson, Mr. Japan Udoji, chronicles Ekelga’s history of council chairmen, their great antecedents, and pointed out the importance of considering illustrious party men like Hon. Negerese, who is widely known for his pragmatism, philanthropism, and dedication to party and community development.

Sharing the Vision of Hon. Negerese which is hinged on restoring Ekelga’s economy, he envisions a collaborative effort to revive the LGA’s micro-economy.
