Can the Supreme Court of Nigeria Bell the Cat Amidst President Tinubu Certificate Forgery Allegations?

Can the Supreme Court of Nigeria Decide the Fate of Tinubu Amidst Certificate Forgery Allegations?
By Admin.
In a dramatic turn of events, two crucial documents, one from the FBI dated 2011 and another from an investigative agency in Chicago dated 2022, have cast a shadow of doubt over the educational credentials of Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Both documents independently assert that there is no concrete evidence of Tinubu attending Chicago State University (CSU), sparking a heated controversy that threatens to undermine his presidency.
The FBI document unequivocally states that Tinubu did not attend CSU, while the investigative agency’s report from 2022 affirms that no record of Tinubu’s enrollment or academic history at CSU can be found. The eerie similarity in their findings has raised eyebrows and led to widespread speculation regarding Tinubu’s educational background.
Legal experts anticipate that today’s motion presented by Tinubu’s legal team will shed more light on the potential damage to his reputation and presidency that may result from the disclosure of his CSU transcript, if it exists. There is a prevailing belief that the court-ordered release of this transcript will likely reaffirm the conclusions drawn in the aforementioned documents, further intensifying the scrutiny surrounding Tinubu’s academic claims.
Tinubu’s conspicuous silence regarding the media’s inquiries about his certificate has fueled suspicion. He has evaded international media calls, missing a golden opportunity to vindicate himself on the certificate controversy. Many wonder whether this reluctance to address the issue is tantamount to an admission of guilt.
Despite the gravity of the situation, the Nigerian media has curiously remained quiet, refusing to extensively cover the intricacies of the Chicago case. Certificate forgery is a criminal offense, and assuming someone else’s identity constitutes theft, both of which carry severe legal consequences. According to the Nigerian constitution, committing forgery disqualifies a candidate or sitting President, putting Tinubu’s eligibility in question.
The responsibility now falls squarely on the shoulders of the Supreme Court to make a pivotal decision. The calls for Tinubu’s disqualification are growing louder, with many demanding that the court act decisively in accordance with the law. In normal circumstances, such allegations would lead to an indictment and a thorough investigation, but in Nigeria, the notion of a “soft landing” for high-profile individuals appears to prevail.
On a different note, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been garnering attention for his relentless fight against corruption in Nigeria, even without occupying the presidential office. Many see this as a significant accomplishment in a country plagued by corruption throughout its history.
As the nation awaits the Supreme Court’s verdict, the future of Tinubu’s presidency hangs in the balance, and the world watches with bated breath to see how this high-stakes drama unfolds.

FUBARA AND SUPPORTERS CELEBRATE AFTER APEX COURT UPHELD HIS ELECTION VICTORY.

FUBARA AND SUPPORTERS CELEBRATE AFTER APEX COURT UPHELD HIS ELECTION VICTORY.
By Tobouke Jemine,
In Rivers State and across the Niger Delta, supporters and well-wishers of the Governor of Rivers State jubilate and congratulate him following the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Independent Electoral Commission’s declaration of Siminalayi Fubara as the winner of the last gubernatorial in Rivers State on Thursday.
Following INEC’s declaration, the All Progressives Congress candidate in the Rivers State governorship election, Tonye Cole, alleged that Fubara did not resign from his previous position as required by law before the election and that the election itself was characterized by irregularities.
Hence, Cole sought the face of the law to ascertain his claims. But when both the tribunal and the Court of Appeal dismissed Cole’s case for lack of merit, Cole appealed to the apex court to sack Siminalayi Fubara as governor of the state.
But reading the lead judgment, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa dismissed Cole’s appeal. Unanimously, the five-man panel on Thursday held that the appellant failed to prove his allegations that there was non-compliance with the Electoral Act during the election.
Following the confirmation of his electoral victory, Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Thursday attended the 4th day of Glory Reign at Salvation Ministry in Port Harcourt, to thank God.The annual church event which began on Monday, January 22, 2024, saw the General Overseer, Pastor David Ibiyomie preach on the theme, “Vengeance for Victory”.
Fubaraubara thanked God and President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly role touching the internal crisis in the party in the State and the litigation against his election.
Fubara also extended his magnanimity and gratitude to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, whom he described as his “Oga” for all his support.
The governor called on everyone to join hands with his administration make Rivers State a truly prosperous and advanced state in all ramifications.
