Ekisah Officially Assumes Duties As Acting Chairman in Burutu LGA As Angele Hands Over. (See Photos).

Former Chairman of Burutu Local Government, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, who has transitioned to the role of Commissioner for Housing, formally transferred his responsibilities to his then Vice Chairman, Chief Hon. Combolous Ekisah, who will serve as Acting Chairman until the official swearing-in is done by Gov. Oborevwori.

In his address the Commissioner for Housing, Angele attributed his accomplishments during his five-year in office as council chairman to the grace of God and the unwavering support of the citizens of Burutu LGA. He urged Acting Chairman Ekisah to foster collaboration across all sectors of the council for effective leadership in the upcoming months.

Angele praised Ekisah for his remarkable dedication and loyalty, emphasizing the excellent cooperation he received from him during their time working together. Angele, who recently took office as Commissioner for Housing, expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for entrusting him with a higher role in the state.

In response, the Acting Chairman Combolous Ekisah humbly accepted the handover notes, expressing gratitude for divine grace and mercy that has facilitated his political growth. He acknowledged his predecessor’s guidance and the enabling environment afforded him during his days as Vice Chairman.

Ekisah described the Honourable Commissioner as a tireless worker, lauding his accomplishments in various areas, including infrastructure. He pledged to uphold the governance standards and legacies set by Angele, who was celebrated for overseeing one of the most successful periods in the LGA’s history. Ekisah reiterated his commitment to the “More For Deltans” mantra of the Delta State government led by Governor Oborevwori.

With humility, Ekisah thanked the assembled leaders, whether present or absent, for their consistent support of the council leadership. He appealed for sustained support to enable further achievements in the entire LGA.

The handover event drew a significant turnout, including the presence of current and former Chairman and Executives, prominent figures from not just the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but across political traditions and religious lines, as well as community Chairmen and Executives spanning various communities within the local government.

Worthy of mention is the leader and father of Burutu politics, Wing Commander P. Y. Biakpara (Rtd.), Hon. Peres Oloye, Member representing Burutu Constituency-2, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Felicia Orouna, former Chairperson, Burutu LGA., High Chief Julius Takeme, Chairman, PDP, Delta South Senatorial District, Mr. Ebike Oromoni, Chairman, PDP, Burutu LGA., Hon. Dimaro, Pioneer Chairman, PDP, Burutu LGA., Prince (Dr.) Peretengboro Klintin Bibaikefie, former contender for Delta State House of Assembly, HRM. Bosu Dio (JP.) represented by HRM. Queen Dio and the Iduwini Traditional Council, Comrade Solomon Gbegha, Chairman, Odimodi Community, Mr. Richard Ebibofa, Chairman, Ayakoromor Community.

IduwiniVoice recall that before his office swearing in as Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele was serving his second tenure as Chairman, Burutu Local Government Council.

Speaking to newsmen, Prince (Dr.) Peretengboro Klintin Bibaikefie urged Angele to design and table before the governor, a “Sheriff For All Housing Program” with ten thousand units of low cost houses for each Rural LGA. across Delta State, adding that this will give a further boost to the “More Agenda” of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, which he believes is more than another sloganization.

Peretengboro also noted that beating Angele’s performance is an uphill task but assured that Ekisah has all it takes to at the minimum sustain the standard, adding that every opportunity we have at leadership is an opportunity to show our readiness for bigger offices.

Your divine intervention has been instrumental in ensuring the peace and progress of my administration.

Being the first Council Chairman in your Administration; your leadership has been a source of inspiration and motivation for me as Chairman; I am eternally grateful sir.

As the tenure of all Delta LGAs draws to a close, the Burutu Local Government Council Boss, Double Chief. Combolous Ikisa, led a special and robust meeting with his councillors and appointees. The meeting, which served as an opportunity to review their time working together afforded Mr. Chairman to convey the deep appreciation of Burutu people to the Lawmakers, for their commitment to the welfare and development of the LGA., and the smooth running of the tenure.

Also in attendance were the distinguished Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Spencer Takeme, and the dedicated Supervisors for Works, Finance, Education, and Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. (Prince) Sunday E. Perekeme. This assembly of key figures underscored the robust collaboration and teamwork the Ikisa-led government of the LGA enjoyed from Executive and Legislative arms of government.

In what the Media Team of the Council Boss termed “Finishing Strong,” they expressed strong believe that Chief Ikisa who took over the reigns of power from his Boss, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, continued strategic projects and programs handed over with dedication and astute commitment.
