The PDP Ogulagha/Iduwini Ward-11 Caucus Congratulates Chief Combolous Ekisah Over His Emergence As Chairman, Local Government Council.
This was communicated to IduwiniVoice News Desk by the Chairman, Double Chief Evans Etimigba (JP).
The Caucus of Ogulagha/Iduwini Ward-11 which is the largest in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have experienced what Etimigba described as an uncommon favour of God Almighty in recent years, as history is being made today, as it is producing her first ever LGA Chairman since the creation of Burutu Local Government Area.
Chief Etimigba (JP) who doubles as the Chairman, Ijaw National Congress (INC) Iduwini Kingdom Chapter, expressed gratitude to God Almighty and the leaders of Burutu PDP, the Burutu Traditional Rulers, and of course Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori, for making an Iduwini son emerge unanimously as Chairman of Council Area.
“It is a special moment for us in Ogulagha/Iduwini Ward-11, and of course Iduwini kingdom. This is the first time a Ward-11 man, let alone an Iduwini man is being made Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area since its creation over forty years ago. Yes, we have enjoyed having Burutu, an Iduwini town as the headquarters of the Local Government Area. We are also thankfully enjoying producing the Federal House of Reps Member Representing Burutu Federal Constituency (very well done) for the third consecutive time as well.
“We believe God is showing us mercy by spicing things further with this LGA Chairmanship of Chief Combolous Ekisah. He’s a very good team player that has been very faithful and instrumental to the PDP serial victories in the Ward and LGA. Having also served well as a vice to a performing Chairman like Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, we totally believe he’ll sustain the legacies of his former boss.”
Etimigba also thanked the Burutu political leadership, traditional institution and Gov. Oborevwori for deeming it fit for Chief Combolous Ekisah to succeed his former boss.
“We Iduwini people and ward-11 people believe this is the first time a sitting LGA Chairman is being appointed Commissioner and his vice succeeding him in the history of Burutu LGA.
“We cannot but thank the Burutu Political Leadership and of course our traditional institution for their vital roles in this matter. We cannot also forget to thank His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for deeming Angele fit for this elevation that has benefited us in Ward-11. May God bless you all abundantly.” He concluded.
IduwiniVoice recall that, Chief Combolous Ekisah emerged Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area after Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori appointed his boss, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele as Commissioner for Housing, in the middle of his second tenure as Burutu LGA Chairman.
Chief Combolous Ekisah has since assumed duties as Acting Chairman, pending his official swearing-in as Substantive Chairman by the Delta State Governor at a yet to be named date, having received official handover from his predecessor on Monday the 28 of August, 2023.
